Word Up! is getting a social-media makeover. By whom? None other than Guy Kawasaki, author of the new bestseller APE: Author, Publisher, Entrepreneur—How to Publish a Book, and social-media aficionado Peg Fitzpatrick. Naturally, they’ll use social media to do it: a Google+ Hangout on Air (HOA).
Fellow author Rick Watson will also have his book “APEd” in this session.
When: Friday, March 1, at 3:00 Pacific Time
Where: Our computers

The Hangout will be recorded and posted on YouTube. I suppose I could post a link to it. Maybe I will. You never know.
This session was quite enlightening. I am a “word-centric” person and therefore was unaware of the possible pitfalls concerning cover design. I found the discussion of marketing a book on Amazon especially informative.
I feel the same way about the Amazon discussion, Linda. My designer is tweaking the “Word Up!” covers as we speak, making the title bigger and the back-cover copy more scannable. The “APE” team (like their book) gives writer-publisher-entrepreneurs a lot to think about. Thanks for your comment.
I had never heard of the APE team/books, but I looked them up after I watched your segment of the critique. Very interesting folks.
